stores. Interestingly enough, we found
that there was an increase in electric
marketing materials during that same
time.
Our Rebate Rally marketing efforts
included various print and digital pieces.
As part of this fully developed brand
campaign, we created the website
where all relevant information about
participating city rebates, contact
information and local contractors
could be found. The site housed an
animated video that gave consumers
a simple explanation of the project,
plus electricity and natural gas cost
comparison charts, on-bill finance
information, direct-use messaging, and
benefits of using natural gas appliances.
Accompanying radio spots were created
that were aired in East Georgia from
August to October 2015. We designed
print pieces (posters, banners, and
postcards) that contained a blank
area where the individual cities could
insert their information to localize and
customize the branded materials.
Results: During August 2015, we held
five Rebate Rally contractor training
events with 123 different participants.
We hosted the trainings in Dublin,
Louisville, Statesboro, Thomson and
Warner Robins. Participants included
city employees, gas superintendents,
city managers, mayors and contractors.
We offered continuing education on
natural gas, codes, direct vent heaters,
and new updated tankless water heater
information. In addition to these efforts,
we provided a unique discounted
personal use pricing for the participants
on the Rinnai direct vent heaters. We had
11 individuals take the opportunity to
purchase a discounted unit to try in their
own homes to help promote natural gas
to our member city residents. September
and October appliance sales results
included:
n	Natural gas tank water heaters: 20
n	Natural gas tankless water heaters: 15
n	Natural gas furnaces/gas packs: 22
n	Natural gas range: 1
n	Contractor Incentive program results
contractor training events: 5
n	Attendees: 23
n	Contractor participants: 18
n	Total payout over 12 months:
$8,800
