Leadership for Student Activities - March 2015, NHS & NJHS Edition - (Page 4)
The Art of Problem Solving
t January's LEAD Conference in
Washington, D.C., I was honored to
experience the passion and enthusiasm
advisers have for their students firsthand.
Shepherding student groups is no easy task, but
when armed with a plan and significant flexibility,
advisers get the job done.
There's no shortage of problems in student leadership. But from
dwindling funds to an unenthusiastic student body, most obstacles can be
overcome using the right set of tools. This issue of Leadership for Student
Activities is packed with resources for problem solving-whether you're
determined to squeeze success out of a failing project (page 12), facilitate
peaceful resolution to a conflict (page 22), or combat burnout (page 20).
When faced with a sticky situation, how does your student group
rise to the challenge? We love to hear from our readers, so let us know
by emailing email@example.com. Be sure check out our editorial
calendar on page 19 and consider submitting an article. The best material
in Leadership for Student Activities comes from readers like you.
