INDUSTRY AWARDS
THE SUBMISSIONS ARE IN!
Companies across the country vie for a coveted Canadian
Grand Prix New Product Award with more than 100 entries
received for this year's Awards.

IT'S that time of year again, the
time when companies from across
the country submit their products
for a chance to win, and be recognized, with a Canadian Grand Prix
New Product Award. The Awards,
entering its historic 25th installment, honours
new Canadian products in food and non-food
categories, with winners selected under CPG
(Consumer Packaged Goods) and private (Retailer) sub-categories.
There are also a number of special awards that
are given out at the gala in categories that include
All-Canadian, Innovation and Originality, Healthy
Innovation, Packaging and Consumer Acceptance.
All products are tested and evaluated by a
panel of judges that are hand selected from key
media, supplier and retail member sources. The
judging process is a critical step, and procedures
and guidelines are put in place to
ensure that products are evaluated
fairly. Judges are provided with
specific criteria by which they are to
evaluate each product. Scoring focuses on innovation, originality and
consumer acceptance.
Food and non-food testing will take
place from February-March 2017 with
award finalists announced in early
April 2017. Winners of the awards will
be announced and celebrated at an
awards gala on May 31, 2017.
