To help homeowners seeking information to
optimize their home's efficiency, OPPD developed
its Energy Efficiency Education website. The site
serves as the one trusted place OPPD customers
can get information and how-to's to make their
home as efficient as possible to lower their
energy usage and their utility bills.

EMAIL
The plan was to write, design, develop and deploy an email notifying people
of the new Energy Efficiency section of the website, encouraging them to visit.
This email was distributed to all OPPD customers who opted-in for marketing

emails. After the initial email was sent, a follow-up email was sent two weeks
later to those who did not open the original email. A third follow-up email was
sent to those who did not open that second email about two weeks after that.

NEXT STEPS
With an engaging website area, videos, social ads and radio tips series,
this campaign was a multifaceted undertaking with multiple touchpoints
and media.
OPPD believes that by creating relevant and customized messages with
vibrant and modern-looking materials, combined with a strategic media
plan, OPPD was able to reach the audiences targeted and achieve the goals
of launching the new website section, educating customers about energy
efficiency and building OPPD's image of being a forward-thinking energy
innovator that works to help its customers.
Similar customer experience and segmentation targeting tactics are
continually being used to develop new solutions for OPPD customers.
Next up will be a project for customer-owned generation solutions.
