Waco is a Mid-Sized City
Ideal for Mid-Sized Groups

W

aco is the perfect meetings location for
convention groups that are too large for the
smaller cities, and too small for Texas' major
cities. We welcome mid-sized groups!
The spacious 144,000 sq. ft. Waco Convention Center is best
suited for groups ranging from about 400 to 1,000 attendees.
With a major hotel located adjacent to the Convention Center,
another across the street, and several others within walking
distance, your attendees will be able to park their cars and
leave them for the duration of the meeting.
The target convention size for favorable booking status
generates 300 hotel rooms peak and 500 hotel rooms total.
These groups will enjoy access to booking several years in
the future, a customized CVB proposal that works with the
group's budget, and an automated RFP system to secure
hotel room quotes for the dates you need.
The Waco Convention Center is in the heart of
downtown Waco, six blocks from I-35 and across the street
from the historic Waco Suspension Bridge and Brazos
River. After hours, your attendees will have fun walking to
food trucks and restaurants located close by.
The famous Magnolia Market at the Silos, owned by
HGTV "Fixer Upper" stars Chip and Joanna Gaines, is

visited by 30,000 visitors each week and is a free trolley
ride away from the Convention Center. The 2-acre
complex includes Magnolia Market, a home d├ęcor shop;
Magnolia Seed + Supply store, Silos Baking Co., free
family-friendly lawn games, food trucks, and plenty of
photo ops.
Other attractions include the Dr Pepper Museum, Texas
Ranger Hall of Fame & Museum, Texas Sports Hall of Fame,
Waco Mammoth National Monument, Cameron Park
Zoo, and more. Several tour companies offer tours of the
area. On the Brazos River, a boat tour is offered, along with
paddleboarding and kayaking.
Downtown hotels include the Hilton Waco,
Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn, and Hotel
Indigo. New hotels actively under construction in the
downtown area include the 125-room Springhill Suites,
a 110-room LaQuinta del Sol, and an Aloft with 117
rooms. A 111-room Hilton Garden Inn located in the
Central Texas marketplace is slated for opening in
early summer.
Come book your meeting in Waco! Call Director
