The rise of a defined project manager started within the IT function with the various advances in systems required to be implemented, customized, and updated to meet the current and future demands of the organization. It then shifted into other areas of the organization where project management evolved from a process that you do to an action that you perform. With this evolution, we've found ourselves put into a role that must do project management-but with no clue on how to do it or where to start.
