Launches Fragrance L’Oréal is pushing the Biotherm brand into fragrance this spring. The brand’s first men’s scent (it already has several ‘eaux parfumés’, but not a fragrance as such) is called Force. The fragrance, which was composed by Bruno Jovanovic of IFF, is described as an aquatic, woody citrus scent. It has notes of grapefruit, an aquatic accord in the heart and a base of vetiver and patchouli. It comes in a cylindrical metal bottle with black lettering. Force will be supported by a print ad campaign featuring a male model pushing back a wall of water and sports the tagline ‘Live Stronger’. The fragrance launches in April. Prices: 55ml EdT - €39; 100ml EdT - €59 Italy-based Eurotialia is introducing a new fragrance for Versace’s Versus line, a move that follows the re-launch of the Versus fashion label in early 2009. A first Versus fragrance for the franchise came out in 2001; however the Versus fashion label was put on hold in 2004 due to a reorganization at Versace. The new fragrance is a fruity floral scent. It features top notes of kumquat and lemon, a heart of orange flower and a patchouli, musk base. The fragrance comes in a crystal purple bottle with the Versus name in gold lettering. The fragrance, which began rolling out in March, will be supported by a print ad campaign featuring model Lara Stone. Prices: N/A Hermès Parfums chose the journey theme for its new fragrance Voyage d’Hermès. The unisex fragrance, by in-house perfumer Jean Claude Ellena, is a fresh, woody musky scent. It comes in a bottle is composed of two parts: a glass flacon and an exterior piece of aluminum in the shape of a stirrup. The two parts are joined by a saddle tack, which allows the metal to pivot around the bottle, therefore reflecting the movement concept of the fragrance. The bottle can also be topped up with a refill. The Voyage d’Hermès line, which includes two EdTs, a deodorant and shower gel, will launch in Hermès distribution in April. Prices: 35ml EdT - €63; 100ml EdT - €90; 125ml refill - €74 Spain-based Perfumes y Diseño is to launch a new men’s fragrance for the Tous brand this year. Tous Man Sport is described as a modern, fresh fruity fragrance. It features notes of lemon, a heart of ginger and a base of cedar wood and musk. It comes in a curved glass bottle with a black and blue tint and is finished with a blue top. This is the third men’s fragrance under the brand. Tous now represents 50% of Perfumers y Diseño’s portfolio. The line launched in Spain and Portugal in March and rolls out internationally in June.
