lorsqu'il commença à briller en compétition. Avec Cornelia, la possibilité d'avoir
prochainement, et pour la première fois,
une femme grande championne en
canopy piloting semble se dessiner.

Sur la plage, c'est la compétition qui est venue
au devant du public. Le look, les postures et les
vitesses d'approche des swoopers (ici un
membre du PD Factory team) ont de quoi
surprendre et impressionner les spectateurs.

dont le "Dubai International Parachuting
Competition" qui se déroulera
en novembre prochain.
Pour ce "King of Swoop" 2014, ce fut
une touche sympathique d'avoir l'Améri-
cain Shannon Pilcher comme directeur
technique. Rappelons que Shannon
avait gagné le "King of Swoop" 2006.
Et c'est donc Shannon qui eut le
privilège de déballer le nouveau trophée
de cette compétition, une couronne
massive au design médiéval,
La somme totale de 33 000 euros, qui
fut répartie en différents "prize money"
pour chacune des catégories de cette
compétition, engendra une attitude incisive chez les compétiteurs se trouvant
en tête de classement, et cela pour le
grand bonheur des spectateurs.
Que ce soit en distance, en précision
d'atterrissage ou en vitesse, le parcours
dessiné imposait des swoops en léger
carve, vu la nature du lieu. Il y avait
donc une certaine élégance dans la
plupart des swoops réalisés. Mais ce
parcours en carve engendra des performances médiocres en précision
d'atterrissage, dues aussi à un fort vent
arrière durant trois des manches
de la compétition.

Dès le début des épreuves, il semblait
évident que la couronne du "King of
Swoop" allait être posée sur la tête de
Nick Batsch. Celui-ci ne paraissait
n'avoir jamais été aussi confiant que
pour cette année 2015. Il sera un
adversaire redoutable pour les
