XAW FRANCE
DÉVELOPPEMENT ET IMPLANTATION À TALLARD
Interview de Cyrille Rousseau, par Bruno Passe
L'aérodrome de Gap-Tallard, dans les Hautes-Alpes, va accueillir prochainement un nouvel acteur du monde
parachutiste : le fabricant de combinaisons XAW France. Le permis de construire a été délivré le 6 août pour un
nouveau bâtiment, entièrement dédié à la fabrication des combinaisons et à la gestion administrative et commerciale.
Nous rencontrons Cyrille Rousseau, co-fondateur de l'entreprise, et il nous en dit davantage sur l'important virage
qui est en train de s'amorcer pour XAW.
ParaMag : Un nouveau bâtiment dédié
au parachutisme, c'est toujours une
bonne nouvelle ! Quelle est sa taille et
où sera-t-il situé exactement ?
Cyrille Rousseau : Le bâtiment va faire
128 m2 et il sera construit sur un terrain
de 650 m2. Ce terrain est situé au cœur
de l'aéropôle de Gap-Tallard, le parc d'activités économiques à vocation aéronautique qui jouxte l'aérodrome de Tallard.
Plus précisément, et pour ceux qui
connaissent bien les lieux, notre terrain
se trouve devant la soufflerie On-Air
et à côté de chez Tarade Aéro Services.
Quel est l'objectif qui vous pousse dans
cette nouvelle implantation ?
Toute l'activité XAW va y être installée.
Le rez-de-chaussée sera dédié à la
fabrication des combinaisons, tandis que
le premier étage accueillera un atelier de
broderie mais aussi d'impression textile
par sublimation et les bureaux.
À quelle date le projet deviendra-t-il
opérationnel ?
Si tout va bien, ce sera notre cadeau de
fin d'année : le 31 décembre 2019, pour
la remise des clefs. Et donc une ouverture
en début 2020.
Qui va travailler dans ce nouvel
établissement ?
En toute logique, les deux associés de
XAW : Véronique Stephan et moi-même.
Il est prévu que deux couturières et une
graphiste rejoignent l'équipe en début
d'année.

Pourquoi quitter Paris et pourquoi avoir
choisi la région de Gap-Tallard ?
Historiquement, XAW est une entreprise
parisienne. Lorsque nous l'avons reprise,
il y a cinq ans, nous avons conservé l'atelier de production à Paris. Et puis nous
avons commencé à beaucoup nous déplacer sur les drop zones, avec le «XAW
France tour». Progressivement, notre
activité s'est bien développée et il nous
fallait plus de place. C'est comme cela
qu'est venue l'idée de la construction.
Gap est une zone d'activité importante
Le spationaute français Thomas Pesquet reçoit sa combinaison
des mains de Véronique Stephan, associée de XAW France
avec Cyrille Rousseau.
