A maxi-album A florist's shop Impossible to pass a florist's shop without admiring the display of flowers in the showcase, the explosion of colors, all the multiform flowers, plants and bouquets in different shapes. What if we made an album of them? by Karine Bizi-Bordon No, this is not a mini but a maxi-album since it measures 30 x 30 cm (12" x 12")! This completely unstructured album contains beautifully colored pictures, which are feminine and flowery in all kinds of formats. Assembling the album On a 30 x 30 cm (12" x 12") background (patterned paper#1 - it is the garnet background in picture 5, on the right of the large photo), mount a second layout with paper "hinges" (patterned paper#2 - the front is the green background in picture 2 and the back is the pink background with the strawberries in picture 5). This second layout also measures 30 x 30 cm (12" x 12") and happens to be beautifully torn in two vertical parts, which are fixed by folding in the outer edges by 1.50 cm (0.6"). The folds are glued onto both edges of the patterned paper 1, thanks to the hinges. Then in the same way, add a third layout after tearing it in its center (patterned paper 3 - the front is the blue background in picture 1 and the back is the yellow background in picture 2) on patterned paper 2. Finally, attach the layout which closes the album and is used as a cover (patterned paper 4) on which you will cut out two large windows (a discreetly decorated transparent sheet serves as "window-panes"). That patterned paper 4 is fastened to patterned paper 3 on one side only, so as to form a large hinged flap. Contrary to what is usually done, the album opens from left to right, since patterned paper 4 is attached to the right side of patterned paper 3 - which gives it an even more original look! In the end, you get five layouts with flaps / shutters and one fixed background. T ip The paper hinges are strips about 3 cm wide (1.2"), folded in half - gray in picture 5.
