Finnabair's secrets I know that the projects we create tell a lot about what kind of people we are. We focus on different elements, we use different ways to express our personalities, we look for different effects - and this diversity is the most beautiful thing in the whole creative world. People can start with the same set of materials - and the finished piece will always be a surprise. So, who exactly am I? by Anna Dabrowska Most of the time I feel like a kind of crazy constructor working secretly in her studio on a top-secret project, trying to make her dreams true: wild eyes, hands in the glue and the paint, surrounded by boxes, jars and tin cans. The more I think about my projects the more I realize that I simply love the process of collecting, hoarding and then upcycling, deconstructing and then constructing everything from bits or right from scratch. I love experimenting, playing, changing the meanings. I don't reflect too much on things - I let my hands play and my head relax. It all starts with "painting" my background, where I prefer to apply patterns and colors Editor's note : no need to present Anna  Dabrowska, alias Finnabair on the net, designer  at 7 Dots Studio and Prima! You could discover  her in HDP34, along with two other Polish  scrap artists three years or so ago. We wanted  to know a little more about what makes this  unique style that we can find in her layouts, and  we gave her carte blanche!  Enjoy, as they say in America! 152 HISTOIRES DE PAGES - LET'S TALK LAYOUTS MARCH 2014 ISSUE 2 myself; it continues through scatterbrained textures and layers of elements which I keep finding on my desk - and it finishes with playing with the embellishments: these are usually an intriguing mix of found objects and "branded" pieces... which I cut up, rip apart and end up giving them grief. Well then, there you have it - that's me.
