The high-quality equipment is unique: leading edge optics guarantee high transmission and large fields of view. A robust housing with glass fibre reinforcement – in combination with anti-slip rubber armouring – makes the Victory Compact pocket binoculars reliable, sturdy companions. The two Victory 8x20 T and Victory 10x25 T models are the only premium pocket binoculars to feature a dirt and water repellent LotuTec® coating, which acts like the surface of a lotus leaf. He described the project in the following terms: “While designing a piece out of carbon fibre for Patrick Brillet, I decided to celebrate and utilize the best of the material’s true physical properties, strength and lightness. The complexity of curves and required thinness could not be duplicated in any other material while still maintaining its ability to support itself completely We are working on another monumental hanging light and a table, again keeping in mind these same properties to achieve illusions in form and weight.” Carbon 451 is being produced in a limited edition of 10 white and 10 black lamps. It is available to view by appointment through The Apartment Gallery/Patrick Brillet in London.
