offer increased productivity and
lower energy consumption, are
used in the fourth-generation
TE BCF 2500 technological
lines.
Third- and fourth-generation
TE BCF modular technological
lines make BCF industrial
manufacturing less expensive
than E-glass fibre production
in terms of production cost.
These lines are completed with
raw basalt loaders, stone-smelting modules with a bushing
assembly, lubricant application
units,
winding
machines

and equipment for primary
materials
manufacturing:
tunnel drying units, roving coil
winding equipment, chopping
machines, and stranding machines for multifilament yarn
manufacturing.
For the BCF manufacturing
plants constructed on the basis
of TE BCF 2000 and TE BCF
2500 process lines, first-stage
productivity is 2-2.5 thousand
tons per year and second-stage
5 thousand tons per year, for a
targeted production of 10-12
thousand tons of BCF per year.
The rated capacity of the plant
is reached in stages along with
plant staff training and sales
market growth.

Profitability of BCF
production
The cost of crushed basalt rock
5-20 mm in diameter is 10-30
USD/ton. The selling price
of BCF roving is 2200-3000
USD/ton (depending on the
diameter and strength characteristics). The profitability of
BCF industrial manufacturing
is 60-180%, depending on the
conditions required to establish
a BCF plant in the country
concerned.
Sales markets
The world demand for BCF is
increasing, with a year-on-year
growth of BCF production and
consumption at 10-14%. The
demand for BCF and BCFbased materials significantly exceeds the production volumes
in the existing plants.
