PRINTING TO LSAM SYSTEMS
Thermwood has added a third print
orientation to its large-scale additive
manufacturing (LSAM) systems:
angle layer printing.
LSAM systems currently can print
both horizontal and vertical layers if
equipped with the vertical layer print
(VLP) option, available on most Thermwood LSAM machines. This
new addition adds angle layer printing (ALP) to the VLP option.
Angle layer printing is the ability to print at a 45-degree angle.

VISION SYSTEMS FOR
COMPOSITE MATERIALS CUTTING

ARC is an augmented-reality vision system that projects patterns
and designs onto a carbon sheet or simulates their presence on a
screen, making it possible to position printed or drawn patterns in
an optimal orientation during cutting. Once assembled, the product
ensures the consistency of the design over several parts, ensuring
a stylistic continuity. Among the existing applications are motorbike
side panels where a design is integrated and continues on other body
parts. Carbon has oriented fibres that, if arranged correctly, guarantee
considerable mechanical advantages (cutting, torsion, stress). So before
placing a skin that will be cut, the operator looks at it with the vision system

Imas Aeromeccanica introduces the C-Oil new depurator series,
compact coalescence purifiers with self-cleaning spark plugs
suitable for applications such as turning, milling, grinding, boring,
etc. The purifiers are equipped with a primary expansion chamber
and specific, high-efficiency spark plugs for
oil mist/fumes even with the presence of dust
particles. The dust and/or silicate on the plugs
is removed periodically and automatically
by a reverse-current pulse cleaning system
managed by a settable sequencer. The
system includes automatic non-return drain
valves on the spark plugs, a level indicator for overflow alarm and a
differential pressure switch with display of pressure drops/clogged spark

The new subsidiary from Tartler Group in China will initially focus its activities on final assembly,
sales and service for a dosing and mixing system in the successful Nodopox series. This system solution for the highlyefficient

FURNACES FOR CARBON COMPOSITE MATERIALS

Nabertherm offers several different furnace ranges for tempering and curing plastics. For example, the
KTR chamber ovens can be prepared for these special requirements. For bigger workpieces, larger forced-convection
