In this issue of Dimensions®, we wanted to bring some attention to project delivery, which if you’ve worked in this industry long enough, brings to mind a slew of acronyms such as D-B, P3, DBOM, DBOO, and IPD. For some of our clients, pulling together a public-private partnership is more familiar. For some agencies we work with, P3 is a newly enacted process. At Dewberry, we view these alternatives as ways for project teams to outline objectives and then apply the method (and in some cases funding) to deliver the solution. In 2011, we organized a design-build contracting entity to give us the flexibility to organize resources and complete projects. It’s our intention that this entity will be one more way that we can help clients apply the most efficient method to getting the job done. Message from Donald E.
