Creating an Interactive Tool to
Predict Future Flood Hazards

Coastal New York communities have experienced an increase in the frequency and magnitude of local-area flooding over
the past few decades. After rebuilding post Superstorm Sandy, it became evident to local government entities that future
flood zones and potential wave hazards must be a part of community resilience planning.
