Louisville WWTP Improvements | Louisville, Colorado
"We delivered design engineering services for Louisville's upgraded
2.55-million-gallons-per-day wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) that
included a headworks, custom enhanced biological nutrient removal
secondary process, vacuum suction secondary clarifiers with Stamford
baffles for improved settling, and a vertical ultraviolet disinfection system.
The effluent from the upgraded WWTP will be low in ammonia, nitrate, and
phosphorus, allowing the City of Louisville to meet current effluent ammonia
requirements and State Regulation 85 effluent nutrient limits in 2021."

"Our recent study for the Colorado Water Conservation Board
and Platte River Recovery Implementation Program has
uncovered substantial evidence that the spring high-elevation
snowpack, contributing to the South Platte River watershed,
can accurately be predicted by the middle of January. The
prediction system currently shows an accuracy of 74 percent,
providing water users an important data point on which to
base planning decisions."

"To support conveying water supply from the Arkansas River to the City of
Colorado Springs, we performed engineering design, permitting, bidding, and
construction services for eight miles of welded-steel treated and raw water
pipelines. The project included constructing a one-mile, nine-foot diameter
tunnel under Interstate 25, two railroads, and Fountain Creek. We provided
comprehensive alignment studies, hydraulic analyses, and pipeline design.
Construction will be completed in 2015."

High-Resolution Rainfall Forecasting |

"We completed the design and beta development of a Heavy Rainfall Guidance
Tool for the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District. The automated tool
ingests high-resolution weather model output to provide the district with a daily
assessment of the timing and severity of potential heavy rainfall in support of its
flood forecasting and prediction program."
