ISTAT Appraisers
Program Updates
IAP Business Meeting & ConEd Session
The Business Meeting & ConEd Session held on 25 March
was a success with 120 ISTAT Appraisers Program (IAP)
members in attendance. Although members missed seeing
each other in person this past year, the online meetings
resulted in significantly more attendance, and a diverse
range of topics were discussed. A thorough re-entry into
service panel was hosted by ISTAT Certified Appraiser John Edwards, with Shannon
Ackert of Jackson Square Aviation and Tim Roach of Airbus on the panel. ISTAT
Appraisers Program Board of Governors (IBG) Vice Chair Olga Razzhivina also
oversaw a lively discussion regarding the IAP's review of its value definitions.
IAP Election
Andy Carlisle stepped down from his role as one of the two senior appraisers on the
IBG Exams Committee after serving two terms. In addition to grading exams, he led
the way in making the Finance Exam more pertinent to better reflect the significant
role that leasing plays in commercial aviation. The IAP is grateful for his service.
Taking over for Andy is Martin O'Hanrahan of AVITAS Inc., who was selected by a
majority of voting-eligible IAP members (all certified members) and members of the
IBG to serve a two-year term.
IAP Board of Governors (IBG)
In April, Dick Forsberg, industry adviser; Betsy Snyder, S&P Global Ratings; and
Mark Streeter, JP Morgan Securities were all re-appointed by the ISTAT Board to
two-year terms as non-appraiser members of the IBG.
