inaugural year of the new awards program, introduce you to
your award-winning peers and ideally inspire you to take
your training to new heights.
Let's start by telling you more about the awards
themselves, then you can turn the page and start meeting
the winners and finalists.
e LTEN Excellence Awards, sponsored by Campbell
Alliance Learning Solutions, is the premier awards program
recognizing innovation and leadership within the life
sciences training and development community. rough
the LTEN Excellence Awards competition, practitioners and
suppliers entered learning initiatives and training content in
various categories for recognition of excellence. Finalists
were selected by a diverse group of life sciences training
experts and thought leaders and, from that group of
finalists, winners were awarded in each category.
Here are the award categories for the training partner
portion of the life sciences community:
* Industry Partnership: Recognizes suppliers for their
work, either via whole or partially outsourced services,
content development and delivery or training, in support
of an organization's learning and development function
in the past year.
* Learning Content: Recognizes suppliers that have
created superior customized or oﬀ-the-shelf learning
content in the past year.
* Innovation: Recognizes suppliers that have deployed
innovative practices, processes and technologies in
support of a client's learning program that delivers
engaging learning combining multiple modalities in the
past year. Examples include workshops, e-Learning, m-
Learning, social collaboration tools and games.
Here are the award categories for the practitioner portion
of the life sciences community, recognizing the trainers,
educators or organizations that provided learning for
* Innovation: For learning leaders who have collaborated
eﬀectively with internal and external groups and
individuals to marshal resources and apply innovative
practices, processes or technologies in a new and
groundbreaking way to address a significant business or
organizational opportunity in the past year.
* Pinnacle: For organizations that demonstrate enterprisewide success as a result of employee L&D. ese
organizations "get it" - they use the learning function as
a strategic business tool to get results. e selected
winner demonstrates excellence, has an enterprise-wide
role for learning, creates an organizational culture that
values learning, and links learning to both the individual
and the organization.
* Emerging Leader: For someone relatively new to the
training field who has demonstrated exceptional
leadership skills, business savvy, and training instincts.
Applicants must be in the training industry for a
minimum of one year, but no more than 3 years. ey
must also have successfully led a large-scale
training/learning and development initiative within the
last year, demonstrated specific leadership qualities, have
potential to lead the Training or Learning &
Development function at an organization over the next
