CPCS Exam Announcement: Effective Fall 2014-New CPCS Exam Content Outline
Beginning with the Fall 2014 testing cycle,
CPCS candidates will be tested under the
new content outline below.

Credentialing And Privileging
(55 - 63%)
* Analyze initial application and supporting
documents for completeness and eligibility
according to current accreditation and
regulatory standards, and inform the
practitioner of the application status and
the need for any additional information.
* Analyze reappointment/recredentialing
application and supporting documents for
completeness and eligibility according to
current accreditation and regulatory
standards, and inform the practitioner of
the application status, and the need for
any additional information.

* Process initial and reappointment/
recredentialing applications, using primary
and secondary/equivalent sources recognized
by accrediting and regulatory bodies.
* Compile, analyze, validate, and present
practitioner specific data, including
discrepancies and adverse information
(i.e., red-flags) obtained during the initial
and reappointment /recredentialing
application process.
* Process practitioner requests for privileges
to ensure compliance with current
accreditation and regulatory standards to
document the essential elements of
competency.
