More than one-third of all Nxtbook customers have made the leap — taking their digital edition from “cost saver” to “revenue generator.” What are they selling? How much are they selling it for and — most important — how can you replicate their success? • are you using sponsorship locations? If you’re not selling these areas around the Nxtbook, they can be a great spot for a promotional piece for your website, other titles, events and the like. Historically, the click-through for these positions is outstanding. • Planning on having archives or back issues? Sell a back issue sponsorship. It’s a great way to offset the cost and is priced right to generate revenue for you. • Create a sponsorship package. Packaging the digital sponsorship with a print and/or online sale is a better way to
sell into the digital edition. This gives the advertiser key spots in the digital edition. There are many options for advertisers in these spots including inserting a logo, a video, an ad message or ad-serving and they can all be designed for lead generation or branding. • adding rich media: Encourage your advertisers to make their ads come alive with Flash animation, audio or video. These extra features draw readers in and encourage interactivity. Advertisers have the option to supply their own Flash animation or they can choose to use our AdJolt program, which draws out existing elements in the PDF and brings them to life. • digital-only up-sell: Even if they don’t appear in print, you can still add bellybands, Flash pop-ups, gatefolds, blow-in cards, brochure inserts and tabs to your digital edition.
