Pro Sign and Graphics (Columbus, prosignandgraphics.com) wasn't
thwarted by severe venting insets or undercarriage compartments
when wrapping this bus for Ohio University in Athens. The shop
created custom panels for each tricky spot; the full 650-squarefoot wrap was printed with an HP Designjet L25500 onto 3M
IJ180cv3 and 3M 8519 luster laminate.
"Is this really for McDonald's?" one
passerby asked as two installers worked
on a window graphic promoting the
chain's new fresh ingredients and
customizable sandwiches. S2K Graphics
(s2kgraphics.com) provided the signage,
printed on an HP Scitex FB7600 onto
Contra Vision Backlite perforated film,
for two locations in the city.
Trinity Graphic (trinitygraphic.com)
was called in to update the Mote
Marine Laboratory's fish tank at the
Sarasota airport. The shop's Matthew
Doniger says the wrap, printed on 3M
Controltac 180-10 with an HP Latex
3000, was complex: "You can't wrap a
circular graphic the way you'd wrap the
side of a truck."
A checkered floor was not the right fit
for a "true Texas girl," so Graphic Image
Flooring (Minneapolis, graphicimageflooring.com) teamed with local installer
Heritage Floors to bring personality to
their female client's office. The graphic
features layers of reclaimed wood and
vinyl printed with a Vutek GS3250 onto
G-Floor Graphic material from Better
The University of Derby added a
$15-million sports facility last year and
called upon MX Display (mxdisplay.co.
uk) for fabric displays and wall and
window graphics to add finishing
touches. The shop used a Vutek
GS3250LX Pro and Mactac WW 300 for
the vinyl components and a Mimaki
JV5-320DS for the fabric.
