Duratex Supreme Mesh from Agfa Graphics is
engineered to withstand harsh, windy environments
for applications such as building wraps and pole
banners. The material features a 90/10 air flow and is
tear-resistant. It offers blockout characteristics for
double-sided applications and is printable with most
inkjet inks. Available in 126- and 196-in. widths.
Caldera Reveals Version 11 RIP Software

Caldera has launched version 11 of its RIP software platform. Version 11
incorporates the newest version of Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE 4) and is
compatible with macOS Sierra.
Additional new features include a "True Bleed" function, allowing operators
to clone pixels around the edge of an image in order to create better edge
finishing for applications such as print-and-cut, textiles, and canvas. Spot color
management has been expanded to handle 127 colors simultaneously, and
patterns and masks can be processed more precisely. Other enhancements are:
* Tile Parallel Processing;
* Sync & Deploy, which runs the same RIP settings across different printers
and environments;
* Processing speeds reportedly four times faster than version 9;
* And Print Clusters - fleets of machines that are built around a single
printer or type of printer.

3 'Color Flip' Films from 3M

3M has added six new colors to its Wrap Film Series 1080 line of vinyl films.
Three are color flip, polychromatic options that shift under different viewing
angles and lighting: Gloss Flip Electric Wave, Satin Flip Caribbean Shimmer,
and Satin Flip Glacial Frost. The three standard additions include Gloss
Storm Gray, Satin Gold Dust Black, and Satin Frozen Vanilla. The series is
available in 60-in. widths.

Paradigm Imaging Group has announced the K-IS-A0FW
Arch E Single CCD Sensor scanner from Kurabo, a 36 x
48-in. flatbed scanner for scanning museum art, textiles,
and delicate documents. The machine is designed to
protect valuable originals by keeping them stationary
during the imaging process. It is equipped with a Dual
White LED system for forward and backward scanning; the
light intensity can be controlled individually, enabling 3D
effects by emphasizing shadows of textured images. An
Arch E-sized color document can be scanned in 17 sec or
less in 300-dpi, high-speed mode, according to Paradigm.
Resolution ranges from 50 to 2000 dpi and is adjustable by
increments of 1.
Additional features include a built-in document counter
and standard operating software. Options include a foot
switch and Aupier-Gigastitch software.
