GOOD NATURE BIG PICTURE January/February 2018 Photographers from around the world submitted more than 26,000 entries for this year's Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards Exhibition, sponsored by Epson. Sixty images from outdoor photographers in 59 countries were selected to be displayed in the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., beginning last October. The images, output on an Epson wide-format printer, range in size from 2 x 3 feet to nearly 4 x 6 feet. The exhibition aims to celebrate the beauty and diversity of nature through photography. "It's more important than ever to cultivate public interest in environmental conservation, and the annual Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards exhibition encourages the public to engage in celebrating the beauty that nature has to offer and thus be moved to preserve it," according to Steve Freligh, awards director. 10
