Johnson Plastics' new Color Tuff series is designed to resist graffiti, UV
light, chemicals, and more for long-term outdoor applications. The
company reports spray paint and permanent marker can be easily removed
from the surface. The material is coated for dye sublimation and is available
in sheets up to 24 in. wide.

Summa has announced its new Twin workflow, engineered
to allow users to decide on the fly to which machine to
route a cutting job. After a job comes off the printer, it
can be cut on either an S Class 2 OPOS CAM Series or an
F series flatbed table - or a combination of the two. Both
machines feature built-in cameras capable of reading the
same cut data and the Summa Postnet barcode.

Nazdar has added the 203 Series of solvent inkjet ink,
described as a direct, low-odor option for Roland
printing systems running Eco Max 3 inks. The
company reports the line is equipped for fast printing
speeds, outdoor exposure, and color fade and UV
resistance. Applications include flexible and pressuresensitive vinyl, banner material, backed mesh, and
blueback paper. Available in CMYKcmk.
Additionally, Nazdar has released the 730 Series of
UV inkjet ink for P-O-P displays, wide-format graphics,
and banners. The series is engineered for applications
requiring adhesion properties and precise color
replication, according to the company. The 705 line is
designed to hinder chipping on both rigid and flexible
materials. Available in CMYKcm + white and clear.
The 77-in. Pike single-pass digital textile printer from SPGPrints is engineered
for printing on a wide range of textiles, including non-flat fabrics, cotton, viscose,
and most polyesters. Features include:
* Variable drop sizes from 2 to 10 pL
* Up to nine printing stations, each with an Archer print bar with 43 printheads and a 0.16-in. printhead gap for high jetting frequency
* Up to 9 colors: CMYK + orange, blue, red, gray, and penetration fluid
* A modular multisection dryer said to have low energy consumption and
silent operation; users can control exhaust fan frequency for each section
* A curved heat plate that warms fabric for improved belt adhesion
* A touchscreen control panel
* A customizable in- and outfeed
* A patented touchless printhead cleaning cycle by automated purge, and more
The Pike has a max. resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi and can reach print speeds
up to 131 linear ft/min. The system includes Printserver 8 RIP software;
third-party RIPs available upon request.
