Adrienne Palmer, editor-in-chief of Big Picture magazine,
has been named one of Folio: magazine's 2019 Top Women in
Media in the Up and Comers category. The awards celebrate
women in the media industry who stand out, take risks, and
push their teams to new heights. In her nearly seven years
with the magazine, Palmer has sought innovative ways to
expand the Big Picture brand and create editorial content of
value, including leading initiatives such as a website
redesign, an augmented reality-enabled magazine cover
campaign, Editorial Advisory Board growth, video integration, the launch of the Best of Wide Format Awards,
expansion of the Women in Print Awards, and more. Palmer
will be honored at a ceremony in New York in June.

ST Media Group International, parent company of Big Picture,
has announced the board of directors appointed Murray
Kasmenn, senior VP/group publisher, as the new president of
ST Media Group following the retirement of Tedd Swormstedt.
Swormstedt, who was the fourth
generation to run the family-owned
business founded in 1906, will remain
chairman of the board of directors.
Swormstedt, a Purdue University engineering graduate with an MBA from
Xavier University, joined ST Media
Group in 1990. After 10 years of working in various positions, he succeeded
Murray Kasmenn
his father, Jerry, to become the ﬁfth
president of ST Media Group in 2000.
"I believe it is time to turn the page
and start a new chapter for ST Media
Group. I am conﬁdent in Murray
Kasmenn's passion for our markets
and brands, his creativity, and ability
to lead them into the future,"
Swormstedt says.
During his tenure as president,
Tedd Swormstedt
Swormstedt was instrumental in
expanding ST Media Group into new markets that included
the launch of Signs of the Times & Screen Printing en
español, the imageWorld tradeshow, and the International
Retail Design Conference. He also led the acquisitions of
Brand Experience (formerly Package Design), Boutique
Design, the BDNY and BDWest tradeshows, and the
Hospitality Experience tradeshow. Most recently, he led the
sale of the company's hospitality brands.
Murray Kasmenn has been the senior VP/group publisher
at ST Media Group since 2010 and has more than 30 years of
experience in the media industry. "I am honored that the
board of directors has chosen me as the new president of ST
Media Group, and I am excited to continue growing the legacy of this company," Kasmenn says.
