It also features an advanced vacuum-table system and sophisticated step accuracy. The Synergia H/UV printer, a fullgrayscale device that prints continuous-tone, photorealistic quality, is suitable for both rigid and flexible substrates. It images with Novus’ UV27 ultra-low-energy UV-cure ink that provides a broad color gamut, strong adhesion and long-term outdoor life. Further, the ink mix and printhead system reduce ink usage – up to 50% less than comparable models, Novus says. The company also says you can reach production speeds up to 1,000 sq. ft./hr. with resolution up to 2,400 dpi (apparent). Additionally, the printer’s UV-cure-system, reduced-heat arrangement allows a more-diverse media list; it also reduces maintenance requirements. Top-loading, large-capacity ink tanks (enough to enable a full shift of printing) are another plus. In addition, a plug-and-play, printbar design enables fast printhead replacement and alignment. The Synergia H/UV weighs 7,000 lbs. It measures 65 x 229 in., with an overall height of 63 in. The printer requires 3-phase 208V, 40a, 50/60 Hz electric; 100-psi clean, dry, compressed air (9 cfm) and an operating temperature range of 55 to 85˚ F with 55% (non condensing) humidity. On-site support is available. Novus’ commitment to green technology, plus its low-energy, UV-cure print system, demonstrate the company’s innovative thinking. ■ Novus’ low-cost, high-quality, 3.2-m, environmentally friendly, Synergia H/UV combination flatbed and roll-to-roll production printer is green in both technology and color.
