(St. Paul, MN) offers several adhesive solutions for repositionable and temporary mounted signage: • Scotchmate™ reclosable, hook-and-loop fasteners to secure changeable graphics; • VHB™ double-coated, foam tape, which fastens invisibly to create a smooth surface, easy adhesion and outdoor-grade strength without drilling, screwing, riveting or welding; • Laminating adhesives that stick to the back of paper, vinyl and plastic film, and bond permanently to foamboards, plastics and other, rigid surfaces; • And, the Scotch® adhesive-application system, which includes the ATG 700 applicator, which delivers a double-coated adhesive tape on paper, foamboards, vinyl and other sign materials. Offerings include: • 582U, a 4.3-mil, medium-tack, all-purpose tape intended for pre-spaced lettering; small, one-piece decals; and mid-sized line striping; • 592U, a 4.3-mil, high-tack, all-purpose maskant that transfers intermediate-grade and calendered films, and is designed for letters less than 2 in. tall, four-color-process printing, and thermal die cuts; • 782U, a 5.4-mil, medium-tack material that’s tearresistant and suitable for wet application and installations over rivets; • 1310 Ultra Clear, a low-static film for use with intermediate or calendered films, or with multicolor overlays with cast or calendered media that require precise registration; • 6582, a 4-mil, medium-tack material designed to transfer cut-vinyl lettering 2 to 12 in. tall; • 6592, a 4.3-mil, high-tack, lightweight tape designed for the transfer of vinyl lettering less than 2 in. tall, fine-line striping and thermaltransfer-printed, die-cut decals; • And, 6798, a very-high-tack tape recommended for use with reflective films, etched-glass media and awning material. The outdoor-grade, waterproof glue expands to up to four times the application amount, penetrates the surface, and bonds to the substrate within one to two hours of clamp time, and achieves a full cure in 24 hours. Gorilla Glue is sold in single-use tubes, and 2-, 4-, 8-, 18- and 36-oz. containers. The company also offers a two-part (resin and hardener are contained in separate barrels), epoxy adhesive that sets in five minutes, fills voids and bonds uneven and vertical surfaces, and dries to a clear finish after 30 minutes of clamp time and a 24-hour cure. Its tapes comprise a heavy-duty, cloth backing, double-thick adhesive, and a moisture-, UV- and temperatureresistant outer layer. The tape is sold in 12- and 35-yd. rolls.
