Mimaki UJF Mark II Printers
Mimaki (Suwanee, GA) offers its
next-generation UJF Mark II (MkII)
Series UV-LED tabletop printers:
the UJF-3042 MkII printer that processes media up to 11.8 x 16.5 x 6 in.
and applies CMYK, white, clear
and primer inks; and the UJF-6042 MkII
printer that processes media up to 24 x
16.5 x 6 in. and applies CMYK inks
plus light cyan, light magenta, white, clear and primer
when available. Mimaki's three ink set choices comprise its LH-100 ink for high
scratch and chemical resistance, the LUS-120 ink for flexibility and scratch
resistance or the LUS-150 ink for balanced adhesion and flexibility. Both
printers feature integrated tools, ball-screw table movement, precise ink
drop placement, threaded registration pins, a vacuum table and RasterLink6
RIP software. An enclosed print area reduces airborne particle contamination
and a media detection system ensures printhead clearance. The print system,
which can auto-populate data using Variable Data via the Adobe® InDesign®
Data Merge function, features Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4 (MAPS4),
variable-dot technology, Waveform Control, Mimaki Circulation Technology,
a nozzle-check unit and Mimaki's nozzle recovery system.

Sawgrass Dye-Sub Inks
Sawgrass (Mt. Pleasant, SC) announces SubliJet-HD Pro Photo XF inks, the
first eight-color ink set the company has offered for its 25-in. VJ 628 printer,
or Virtuoso 8-Color HD Product Decorating System. SubliJet-HDPro Photo
XF inks were developed in partnership with ChromaLuxe for increased UV
stability, image longevity and performance on ChromaLuxe media. This
eight-cartridge set features three black inks - KXF, LkXF and LlkXF - which
add extended longevity to prints, in addition to enhanced skin tones, neutral
blacks and detail for fine art and photographic prints.
These new inks have earned a print display permanence rating of 64 years
from Wilhelm Imaging Research when used to imprint ChromaLuxe highdefinition photo panels. According to the company, SubliJet-HD Pro Photo
XF inks deliver prints that last more than three times longer than those
made on silver halide photo paper with other types of photographic ink.

will adhere to cotton, polyester,
silk, Lycra and more for the creation
of soft signage, fabric displays, tradeshow
graphics, apparel and more. The printer features
four printheads (upgradeable to eight or 16) and
will image at speeds up to 1,291 sq. ft./hr. A stickybelt system eases fabric handling and the printer-heater
synchro-unit maintains fabric tension at all times.
