American Renolit Receives ISO Certification
American Renolit Corp., manufacturer of vinyl films, announced that the company has achieved its ISO 9001:2008 certification. The certificate confirms that Renolit has documented its quality processes while meeting the stringent qualifications for the global ISO 9001:2008 standard. The company’s quality-management system was assessed by an accredited registrar that performs independent assessments against the national and international standards for quality. In August, 2012 Renolit received formal registration approval for its production facility in La Porte, IN and the sales subsidiary in Swedesboro, NJ and is now officially recognized as an ISO 9001-certified company.
Avery Dennison Graphics supports Signarama’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity by donating materials for Habitat for Humanity truck wraps. The wraps will drive awareness of Habitat for Humanity’s mission in various communities across the United States. Signarama announced a $250,000 partnership with Habitat for Humanity to help build and rehabilitate affordable homes throughout the U.S. and around the world. Avery Dennison’s donation of MPI 1005 Supercast Easy Apply RS with DOL 1360 gloss over laminate will be used by Signarama franchises to wrap 14 Nissan vehicles over the next 12 months. During the months of October and March, which are “Habitat for Humanity Months,” all Signarama branches will donate 1% of all sign sales to Habitat for Humanity. “Avery Dennison is proud to support Signarama’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity by donating our popular vehicle wrap products for the Nissan truck wraps,” says Todd Hain, marketing and communications manager at Avery Dennison Graphics. “Wrapping the 14 vehicles will help Habitat for Humanity raise awareness of its efforts in those communities. Vehicle wraps generate millions of positive impressions for brands and businesses each day on roads and highways around the world.”
Matthews Int’l to Purchase Wetzel Holding AG
Pittsburgh, PA-based Matthews Int’l Corp. announced that the company has signed a definitive agreement for the purchase of Wetzel Holding AG, Wetzel GmbH, and certain related affiliates. Wetzel is headquartered in Muenchenstein/BL, Switzerland and has its principal manufacturing operations in Germany and Poland. Its products and services are sold primarily within Europe. The acquisition is designed to expand Matthews’ products and services in the global graphicsimaging market. The purchase price for Wetzel will be €42.5 million ($55 million) on a cash-free, debt-free basis, plus potential additional consideration based on operating results. Other terms of the acquisition were not immediately disclosed. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval in Germany, is expected to close during Matthews’ first fiscal quarter in 2013.
