The kit includes two casters for each leg of the four-sided press stand. Each pair of casters is affixed with a nut and bolt to a steel strip that is indented in the center for optimum fit. Each caster can be locked. According to Workhorse, the 3-in. (76-mm) caster wheels roll easily across a variety of surfaces and are made of a durable rubber that will not damage floors. Digital Transfer Printer The new OKI proColor 711WT digital printer from OKI Data (www.okidata. com) features white toner for textile and hard-surface printing. The 711WT (White Toner) allows users to print white lettering or graphics in-house and, according to OKI Data, it also delivers breathtaking color output and provides users with the OKi Data ability to produce highquality output in a cost-efficient manner. The 711WT prints on various types of transfer media for application to garments and hard goods. The unit supports print speeds up to eight pages/min on transfer media and up to 34 pages/min on standard media. transfer Express Transfer Lettering Transfer Express ( recently added three fonts to its Express Names line of heat-transfer lettering: Vogue, Impress, and Arial. The screen-printed, individual, prespaced names can be heat pressed onto cotton, polyester, or cotton/poly blended apparel used in team uniforms, employee identification, school uniforms, and more. Express Names come in colors such as white, black, brown (dark), gold, navy, red, royal, bubblegum pink, dark green, dolphin, grey, kelly green, maroon, orange, purple, Texas orange, and Vegas Gold. Stahls’ iD Direct Photo Papers Sihl Digital Imaging ( has developed a new series of satin/gloss/matte photo papers for use with latex inkjet printers. According to Sihl, Pipeline S, Pipeline G, and Malibu papers feature a proprietary coating technology that is not impacted by the curing or drying temperatures of latex printers. The result, the company says, is a perfectly smooth, dry print that establishes a new standard of color, quality, and detail. Pipeline and Malibu papers can be laminated with pressure-sensitive or thermal films. They’re available in 150-ft (45.8-m) rolls in widths of 36, 54, and 60 in. (914, 1372, and 1524 mm). 6 screenprinting Digital Transfers CAD-Printz Perma-Twill is a new digital-transfer product from Stahls’ ID Direct ( Full-color, custom designs are digitally printed onto white Perma-Twill and then contour cut, creating a no-sew solution for logos and other graphics. According to Stahls’, Perma-Twill is a time saver in production and an alternative to embroidery. PermaTwill is backed with a permanent adhesive and applies with a heat press.
