DSS Pro is available in widths ranging from 39-80 in. and lengths of 164 and 750 ft. Vastex Int’l, Inc. introduced the F-1000 flash-cure unit. It has a 1950-w, 18 x 18-in., medium-wavelength IR heater that’s designed to eliminate cold spots and under-curing. According to Vastex, fixed heat shields allow positioning closer to garments, improving temperature uniformity. The unit includes temperature control, NEMA 6-15P (120-V model) or NEMA 6-15-P or international plugs (240-V model), head leveler, stand with casters, and a vertical adjustment collar allowing 360° rotation. Options include a rotary table and Auto-Flash AF-120 or AF-240 for automatic head rotation. Workhorse Products spotlighted the Photosharp Screen Exposure System. It features a 1000-w, metal-halide, dual-spectrum light source. Workhorse says the shuttered lamp system offers fast exposure times because there is no warm-up period, and lamp life is preserved because of reduced lamp strikes. The lamp is spectrally matched to diazo and photopolymersensitized emulsions. X-Rite emphasized Capsure, a handheld color-management tool that reads color on a variety of surfaces and materials to produce a match with colors from available electronic fan decks. Capsure can also isolate colors within a multicolored pattern for developing matching or complementary color palettes. Color information can be recorded and saved for selecting accent colors or downloaded. What’s in store for next year? The SGIA Expo returns to Orlando, FL, from October 23-25, 2013. The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association says Industrial Fabrics Association Int’l will be co-locating with SGIA at the Orange County Convention Center. A. Total No. Copies B.
