WIDE-FORMAT CUTTING

Mimaki has expanded its line of wideformat cutters with the CF22-1225 flatbed
cutting plotter. The plotter's larger work
area with a max. 4 x 8-ft cut size allows
users to move materials directly from a
standard sized flatbed printer. Compatible substrates include corrugate,
styrene, foam, rubber, resin, and plastics
up to 0.79 in. thick. For improved
print-and-cut workflow efficiency, the
machine is equipped with FineCut8 and
RasterLink6 Plus software, including
features such as an ID Cut function and a
barcode system where job data is output
by the printer and read by the cutter to
automate the cutting process.
A number of cutting heads for
creasing, drawing, and cutting are
included. A swivel knife, tangential knife,
reciprocating knife, and creasing wheel
are available. Additional features include
a redesigned control panel with shortcut
keys for commonly used functions, and
USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections.

M&R's Starlight Adjustable Spectrum

needs of each emulsion. The unit can
be stand-mounted or used on a
tabletop, and its 6840 UV LED lamps
reduce energy costs, exposure time,
and operation temperatures.
Additional features include a digital
touch-screen controller designed to
automate screen exposures and enable
operator-free production. Vacuum and
exposure times can be set between 0.1
and 999.9 sec. The system's Job Recall
feature stores data for up to 24 profiles.
The screen exposure lamp can't be
turned on while the blanket frame is
open, eliminating risk to nearby unexposed screens. The unit also includes
several non-exposing LED inspection
lights. A CTS retrofit kit is optional.
The unit can expose screen frames
up to 31 x 40 in. and is compatible with
most sizes of the company's Tri-Loc
Registration System.

fabrics. The GTX can print images up
to 16 x 21 in., and a high head-tosubstrate gap enables printing over
seams, pockets, zippers, and other
non-uniform surfaces. A white ink
recirculation system reportedly
minimizes nozzle clogging, while a wet
capping station prevents ink from
drying on the bottom of the nozzle
plate. The unit comes with new
Graphix Lab software that allows users
to import artwork; add text; rotate,
size, and position image elements; and
apply artistic effects. Also new for the
GTX are Innobella Textile water-based
pigment inks, said to deliver a wider
color gamut. The inks are Eco-Passport
certified by Oeko-Tex and
CPSIA-compliant.

Ryonet has announced the availability
of the ROQTunnel Conveyor Dryer. The
unit is customizable, with belt widths
ranging from 38 to 71 in. A split belt
with variable width and independent
speed and direction controls is also
available. The ROQTunnel can be run
on natural gas, propane, or electricity.

features three times the number of

media basket, a tangential emulation
function for corner cutting, a media
feeding system with electronically
adjustable pinch rollers, and more. An
integrated media holder supports rolls

dual-position tool carriage allows

such as kiss-cutting and perforation.
Roland reports the machine can read
crop marks and is compatible with a
