Renoir Flexy textile printer equipped
with the company's Dynoplast fabric
adhesion system. The Dynoplast
system features adjustable pressure
and temperature for printing on a
variety of textiles such as knits, woven
materials, and low- and high-stretch
fabrics. The Reggiani Renoir Flexy has
eight printheads with customizable
color configurations and five ink types:
reactive, acid, disperse direct, disperse
sublimation, and textile pigment.
Applications include apparel and
accessories, home textiles, sportswear,
and footwear.
Users can choose between one and
four passes for speeds up to 4306 sq ft/
hr and max. resolution of 2400 dpi.
Droplet sizes range from 4 to 72 pL.
Additional features include a roll
unwinder for feeding material, inline
double degassing and ink filtering, a
head crash protection system, an
embedded magnetic system for
adhesive application, an ink recovery
system designed to save users up to
95% in ink costs, and a one-chamber

The Photon UV-LED curing system from
M&R, introduced at the SGIA Expo in
October, offers cool-running lamps that
transfer very little heat to temperaturesensitive substrates. The LED technology also consumes less power than
conventional light sources such as
gallium and mercury vapor, lasts longer
(up to 25,000 hrs), and increases the
longevity of the conveyor belt. The unit
features a sheet sensor that automatically turns the LEDs on and off, further
reducing power consumption. A turbine
holds lightweight substrates on the belt
while cooling the chamber, and since no
ozone is generated in the curing process,
exhaust air does not have to be vented
outside. The Photon has a touch-screen
control panel to manage lamp settings,
belt speed, timers, maintenance
reminders, programming, and system
status messages. Tool-free adjustments
allow substrates of different thicknesses
to be accommodated.
