In a cluttered world of social media, apps for nearly everything and other distractive technology, visual presentations
must compete to grab customers' fleeting attention. It's
important to keep the product the star, using elements like
props and decoratives only to highlight, complement and
reinforce the merchandise, says Sal Lenzo, director of visual
presentation, ready-to-wear, accessories and beauty at
Bergdorf Goodman (New York).
"I love adding something to a display that's a little off
and creates an interesting mix and some drama," Lenzo
