2. Why NRF 2018 Retail's
"Big Show" matters.
1. Study the consumer shows.
I've just made my annual pilgrimage to the Consumer
Electronics Show (CES), where 3900 exhibitors and
170,000 attendees descended upon Las Vegas. This
show matters to those of us in retail design, yet few in
our industry were among the throngs. This one kicks
Like CES, this show can test the nerves of a creative
type surrounded by point-of-sale and other back-ofhouse retail tech. Yet, this is the show where retail
execs go to share insights, forecasts and offer opinions
on retail in general. If you take the show on its face,
you'll miss the golden opportunity to learn about and
prepare for what's coming. Many examples abound
butt, and if you're not reading the tea leaves of where
the consumer is likely to spend his or her money in the
future, how can you be prepared for tomorrow's store,
or for a new category ready for retail primetime? Read
everything you can about this event and the trends
