Carbon Footprint
In 2021, our Club hired a third-party contractor,
Environmental Sciences Associations (ESA),
to complete our first ever carbon footprint
assessment.
ESA estimated the total direct and indirect
GHG emissions associated with Our Club's
operations was 94,207 metric tons of carbon
dioxide equivalent (MTCO2e) in 2020,
which was comparable to 2019.
This analysis includes direct emissions
from mobile combustion and stationary
combustion, indirect emissions from
purchased electricity and heating, and
indirect emissions from mobile combustion
by our third-party emergency roadside
services (ERS) network. This initial assessment
will inform our strategy to monitor and
reduce our carbon footprint, which we
will publish in 2023.
Green Mobility
As the technology around electric and
other alternative fuel vehicles advances, we
will continue to make efforts to reduce GHG
emissions in our communities. In 2022,
we will add two EV trucks capable of
vehicle-to-vehicle charging, pilot mobile
EV charging, and add electric light service
vehicles to our fleet.
