ABWA PERSPEC TIVES

Women Connecting Women Chapter
Installed November 7, 2020 in Newberry, SC
We are excited to announce that the Women
Connecting Women Chapter of the American Business
Women's Association (ABWA) made its official debut
on the ABWA stage on Saturday, November 7th in
Newberry, South Carolina, witnessed by community
dignitaries and members from across the nation
who attended their celebratory event. Rising to
the Challenge in such an unprecedented year, the
formation team was not deterred by the constraints
of the pandemic. They set and achieved their goal of
chartering with over 50 new members!
When Rene' Street, Executive Director, asked
Formation Leader, Genice Hall, " What motivated
you to start a new ABWA community? " Genice
commented, " I knew that ABWA offers many
leadership paths, however, forming a new Chapter
was the path that excited me the most because of its
impact on the lives of working women and women
business owners in the Newberry community. Thanks
to a talented and dedicated group of volunteers, we
got the job done! "
