The Minivator II reaches a maximum
height of 142", with a load height of 55"
and a maximum load of 80 pounds. The
stand weighs 48 pounds and covers a footprint of 58".
The Minivator II features a double
cable mechanism that will keep both risers
traveling at equal proportions with each
turn of the handle, allowing for firm and
steady movement of any lighting fixture
attached. (38 turns will take the fixture to
the full height.) The addition of "combo"
dual-purpose top castings allows for the use
of both Junior pin and Baby receiver fixtures.

Litepanels Extends Sola,
Inca, Hilio Series
Litepanels has introduced the Sola 9
and Inca 9 LED Fresnels, as well as the Hilio
D12 and T12 high-output LED panels.
Designed for both studio and location applications, the daylight-balanced Sola
9 and tungsten-balanced Inca 9 boast an
output brighter and stronger than a traditional 1K Fresnel while drawing only 189
watts of electricity. The custom 9" Fresnel
lens, with a beam angle from 54-15
degrees, emits an even, collimated light
source that can be focused and controlled
for maximum flexibility. The Sola 9 and Inca
9 both include 8-way barndoors, a standard
yoke with junior pin for easy mounting and

positioning, and an AC power supply.
The daylight-balanced Hilio D12 and
tungsten-balanced Hilio T12 were designed
to augment the lighting requirements of

broadcast studios as well as location work
for motion picture, episodic television and
commercial productions. The versatile
panels emit a raw, narrow beam that
provides high intensity for long throws; an
array of available accessories can be used to
harness and shape the light output. The
fixtures draw only 350 watts and are
comparable to a 2K tungsten Par in terms of
output.
Each Hilio panel contains a microprocessor-operated active cooling system.
The fixtures also feature a removable external power supply with convenient mounting bracket for optional accessories such as
a stand-mounted plate and an extension
power cable. The Hilio D12 and T12 panels
also feature integrated slots to hold color
and diffusion gel filters as well as Litepanels
Nanoptic lenses, which spread and shape
the light in circular, horizontal and vertical
patterns, and essentially convert the open
source into a soft light or broad directional
fill. The rear of the unit features an LCD
display and a multi-functional control with a
menu-based button interface. An SD card
slot is also built-in to facilitate future software upgrades. The fixtures also include a
standard yoke with junior pin to enable easy
mounting and positioning.
The Sola, Inca and Hilio fixtures all
feature an integrated DMX module for
remote dimming and focusing; the module
works with readily available RJ45 Ethernet
connections via any standard DMX512
protocol device. All of the fixtures feature
smooth dimming from 100 percent to 0,
