Angenieux Shows Style
Angenieux has introduced the Optimo Style 48-130mm (T3),
the third lightweight compact zoom lens in the Optimo Style line. It
joins the Optimo Style 16-40mm (T2.8) and 30-76mm (T2.8), the
two other lightweight compact zooms of the range, and the 10x
Optimo Style 25-250mm (T3.5).
The Optimo Style 48-130mm weighs only 4.3 pounds and
has a close focus at 3'1". It covers an image circle up to 34.6mm
diameter (Red 8K Helium sensor or Arri Open Gate, for instance)
with a constant T3 aperture throughout the entire zoom range. As
with the rest of the Optimo Style family, it has no ramping when
zooming in, and boasts minimal breathing, distortion and optical
aberrations. The lens shares the familiar, precise, rugged construction of the Optimo Style series with 320-degree focus-barrel rotation, and industry-standard 0.8M gears on the focus, iris and zoom
barrels.
As with the Optimo Style 16-40mm and 30-76mm, the 48130mm has an easily interchangeable PL mount to Canon EF or
Panavision PV mount, and can be used with the Angenieux Servo
Unit (ASU) with integrated motors for remote control with industrystandard wireless and broadcast control systems. It also can be fitted
with the Angenieux 1.4x and 2x Optimo extenders.
Angenieux has also unveiled two standalone accessories for
its anamorphic line. The two short zooms - Optimo 56-152mm
A2S and 30-72mm A2S (both T4) - can be equipped with an
uncoated front element that offers a softer contrast image with
additional flares around highlights, and the 10x Optimo 44-440mm
(T4.5) A2S can be fitted with a special coated rear element that
enhances blue flare. Both accessories can be bought separately and
be installed (or removed) by lens technicians without affecting the
lenses' basic image characteristics.

Munich-based DoPchoice, maker of softening and controlling equipment for professional LED lights, has introduced several
new versions of its Snapbag self-tightening soft box.
The 7'-diameter Octa 7 Snapbag joins the company's Octa 3
and Octa 5 to provide a range of octagonal soft boxes to accommo76

date most LED soft lights. Quick-to-set-up Snapbags feature a highly
reflective inner fabric that provides maximum light output and delivers even illumination across the front surface. The spread of light
from Octa Snapbags can be narrowed by installing DoPchoice's 40degree Snapgrid to the front.
The Snapbag Medium mates both instant
set-up and lighter-weight benefits with the ability to be interchanged on most LED soft lights.

Complementing the company's Academy Sci-Tech Awardwinning Towercam, Mad About Technology (MAT) has introduced
the L-E-Vator, a telescoping camera-support solution that enables
