remote-phosphor technology. The system
boasts color-rendering accuracy beyond 98
TLCI, with HD-friendly light output comparable to a 1K traditional soft light. The phosphor panels themselves are interchangeable, allowing users to quickly change the
fixture from daylight to tungsten, chromagreen, chroma-blue, 10,000K and more -
in seconds and without tools. The Area 48
Studio weighs only 7.9 pounds and draws
just 122 watts at maximum output. The 48volt power supply comes mounted directly
on the yoke.
The unit includes the standard BBS
four-channel control of 8-bit, 16-bit, strobe,
and manual dimming, as well as on/off.
Every Area 48 is equipped with integrated
barn doors. BBS also offers optional
DoPchoice light-shaping tools, including
grids and soft boxes, for even more control.
BBS has also introduced 3' and 4'
Pipeline 4-Bank remote-phosphor
lights, marking a new form factor for
the company's remote-phosphor LED
technology. By incorporating remotephosphor technology, the 4-Banks
deliver a 95+ TLCI and are rated at
50,000 hours.
Pipeline cylindrical Pipes each
have a rugged aluminum flat channel
with a 1⁄10"-thick remote-phosphor
covering to handle rough treatment
without breakage. Pipeline 4-Banks house
BBS' rugged, 3' or 4' long, 1"-diameter LED
Pipes, which provide light emission of more
than 1,000 lumens per foot (12,000 lumens
from the 3' Pipes and 16,000 lumens from
the 4'). Cool running, they power off of a
48-volt power supply to provide smooth
dimming all the way down to zero.
Utilizing the built-in four-channel
control, Pipeline Banks are fully dimmable
(100 percent to zero) without color shift or
flicker. The control offers 8- or 16-bit DMX
and manual dimming plus strobe capability.
Pipeline 4-Banks come in 3,200K,
4,300K or 5,600K color temperatures. A BiColor model allows the user to dial in any
color temperature between 3,200K and

5,600K. For additional control, a foil-lined
soft box and light grids are customdesigned for the Pipeline 4-Banks. The
Banks are stackable for greater combined
output.

Camera Goat Slides Into Action
Camera Goat LLC has introduced
the Camera Goat slider system, which can
operate flat on the ground to 10' in the air
with ease.
Rather than tripods, combo stands
or apple boxes - which can be cumbersome in certain terrain - the Camera Goat
utilizes independent legs, resulting in a
stable platform that is fully adjustable. The
modular system allows users to make the
rails and legs whatever length they desire.
The system uses the same 1¼" aluminum
tubing for the rails and the legs, so users
can change from one size to another in a
matter of seconds; this is also the same size
as speed rail, making the Camera Goat
even more adaptable.

The company offers two different
models in three different kits, or parts can
be purchased separately. The regular
Camera Goat can support any camera from
a GoPro to an Imax system, while the Mini
Goat was designed for travel and smaller
cameras. Carry-On Kits come with everything except tubing, for users who already
have their own. Designed for easy travel,
Adventure Kits include tubing and a few
extra ball-head adapters. Expedition Kits
include tubing and an extra bar bridge for a
center support; this kit is for someone who
wants to execute runs longer than 10'. All
Camera Goat units can go up to 10' before
the user needs to add a center support.
