ticipating companies during the recent
economic conference in Jerusalem.
Phase One of this operation will be
to establish processing facilities and a
technical supply centre in Israel to
meet the pressing needs of both the
Israeli motion picture industry and
those of foreign producers on loca¬
tion in that country.
Also as part of Phase One will be
the establishment of processing serv¬
ices for the 8mm amateur movie mar¬
ket as well-including sound striping.
Phase Two will be the setting up of
a marketing and distribution facility
for photographic equipment, other
than cameras, including lighting, ani¬
mation apparatus, enlargers and au¬
dio-visual equipment and accessories.
This project will also provide an in¬
tegrated location service centre to ac¬
commodate the requirements of major
international
companies
producing
films in Israel.
Equipped to process both color and
black and white film, with laboratory
and sound studio facilities comparable
to those available anywhere in the
world, the new company will also be
equipped to handle the complete tech¬
nical needs for television, educational
and industrial audio-visual film work
produced in Israel.
The overall objective of the opera¬
tion is to establish a complete proc¬
essing, servicing and supply complex
for the total pre- and post-production
needs of foreign motion picture pro¬
ducers on location in Israel.
As a wholly Canadian-owned and
Montreal-based organization, Belle¬
vue will continue its contributions to
the economy of Quebec Province. This
program of development, progress,
and achievement represents one ex¬
ample of Canada's expanding role on
the international scene.
