Celebrating the publishing

in

Italian of the book, "A Man and a Camera,"
Nestor Almendros, ASC, the author, was

honored in

LAquila, Italy recently. The week
long events included a restrospective of his
work as a director of photography and the
work of the late Francois Truffaut, the
French director, with whom Almendros had
often been associated. Included in the inter¬
national group of people who participated in
the event were John Bailey and Allen
Daviau representing the ASC, Robby Benton
of the DGA, and members of Truffauts

family from Paris.
