"I knew

one

of the best ways

break into the film business

was

to

to

shoot my own
wanted to

feature. But nobody
give me a dime. So I thought

I'd shoot it

video and finance it

on

myself. But when I started asking
around, I found out that video stores
have a major problem with features
shot on video. Nobody wants to rent a
film that looks like

a

soap opera.

Subconsciously, people love film.
Some of my friends laughed
when I told them I was using Super 8.
But
the

Super 8 has really changed since
days when everybody was making

home movies with it. With the

Beaulieu

new

and the way
Kodachrome 40 looks when its
cameras

transferred

on

the

Rank, it's just

incredible. "Games of Survival" has
sold

6,000 copies in the U.S. alone. My
are convinced, a few of them
now shooting their own Super 8

friends
