Born in Durant, Oklahoma on

May 26, 1914, Edens attended Baylor
University at Waco, Texas. He joined the
Air Force during World War II, serving as
an aerial photographer. His wartime
adventures included "flying the hump" in
the China-Burma-India campaign. He
was a staff sergeant at the time of his
honorable discharge.
Edens went to work as a clerk
and loader in the camera department at

Among the TV features and
pilots photographed by Edens
were Trial Run, Murder One, Conspiracy
to Kill; O'Hara, U. S. Treasury Agent; One
More Train to Rob, Bad Men of the

West, The Astronauts, The Adventures
of Nick Carter, and Minnie and
Moskovitch. Most of these were re¬
leased theatrically in foreign markets.

He photographed the New
Gidgetand Hunter shows during the last
two years before his retirement in 1987.
Edens had been an ASC mem¬
ber since 1971. An enthusiastic golfer
with two hole-in-one medals, he was
active in promoting the annual ASC golf
tournament and served as chairman of
the

golf committee.
At Edens' request there were
memorial services.
