Waterproof Pan/Tilt Head
Fujinon has introduced the EPTpan-and-tilt head that provides full

control underwater to 20 meters and is

designed to operate with the EOP-20 con¬
troller.
The EPT-30 has a pan range of+/
-300

degrees, a tilt range of+/-95 degrees,
and a pan-and-tilt speed of 9 degrees per
second. It can be operated up to 100 meters
from the controller and can handle a 22pound load. The EPT-30 requires 24 VDC
and weighs 22 pounds. The EOP-20 con¬
troller handles one head and features joy¬
stick control of pan and tilt, rocker switch
control of zoom, and dial control of focus
and iris.

Miller Canada has introduced

ing virtually any battery type.
To enable servicing a large pool
of present and future batteries, the C-4000
utilizes a pre-programmed adapters or userprogrammable cables. Available for all
major batteries (Sony, Ikegami, Panasonic,
Anton-Bauer, JVC, etc.), these adapters and
cables can be quickly reprogrammed to a
different battery type. A menu prompts the
user to enter specific battery parameters,
such as chemistry, voltage and mah rating.
The parameters are then stored in a memory
chip on the adapter.
Charge and discharge currents
are generated with programmable switch
mode power supplies; enough power is
supplied to charge four large portable bat¬
teries. The analyzer safeguards against
overload should four large batteries de¬
mand simultaneous charging. Decision¬
making software evaluates the battery and
applies the appropriate service to restore its
performance. The PRIME program prepares
a new or stored battery for field use by re¬
peatedly cycling until the optimum perfor¬
mance is reached. On CHARGE, the analyzer
doubles as a convenient fast-charger
(typical full-charge time is 85 minutes).
AUTO is recommended for routine battery
maintenance.

CCD Lens, Converters
Nikon Electronic Imaging un¬
veiled its Nikkor S15 x 8.5B II lens and a pair
of new ENG converters at the recent Na¬
tional Association of Broadcasters (NAB)
convention held in April in Las Vegas.
The lightweight, compact S15 x
8.5B II offers a lens-resident zoom speed

adjustment switch and features a remov¬
able servo housing for ease of serviceabil¬
ity. The housing is slanted approximately
7.5 degrees to provide a more comfort¬
able grip. The S15 x 8.5B II also has a
wide zoom ration and a minimum object

distance of .8 meters.
