Two Canadians were recently made active
members of the Society. Mark Irwin, who
was born in Toronto and attended film
school at York University, began his career
by shooting 16mm documentaries in
Canada; the assignments took him all over
his homeland and, eventually, halfway
around the world. He worked on sport films,
