since the birth of the industry at the begin¬

ning of the century, attracting such stars as
Hitchcock, Ingmar Bergman, Orson Welles,
Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Billy Wilder and Bob
Fosse. The city has more people working in
the industry than any other German city, and
has a large population of producers, direc¬
