Wall adds that an unexpected
benefit has been the pride

first in the industry to implement this. "It is really important that our actions back up
our philosophy, and this is an
important demonstration of
our values," he says.
And a final benefit? "Tapping this talent pool does
not result in firms cannibalizing each other," Wall
says. "We can pursue
these midcareer folks,
and it does not cause
a staff shortage for
any of us. It could be
transformational in the
industry." ■
