If you’re like us, you still love the feel of a printed magazine in your hands. But we also love getting our stories and information in front of as many eyeballs as possible. That’s where the online version of the Talking Stick comes in. Since this service was launched two years ago, almost 1 million Talking Stick pages have been viewed online. Links to the latest issue are always available from the front page of the ACUHO-I Web site. Also, see past issues either by following links from the site’s Talking Stick page or clicking on the “Archives” tab at the bottom of the screen. Best of all, the magazines can be shared with anyone at a member institution. Please forward along links to the entire issue or speciﬁc stories and spread the Talking Stick word.

How Tweet It Is
What happens when you follow college and university housing professionals on Twitter? You discover that most everyone seems to have worked alongside, attended conferences, or went to school with everyone else. You watch professionals sympathize with others when someone is having a difﬁcult day. You also get to bask in their glow as they celebrate all the little victories, like RA selection. Oh, and you learn an awful lot about the television show “Glee.” The micro-blogging service is proving to be an increasingly popular way for people to share information and stay connected. ACUHO-I is using it to broadcast news about association events and developments, announce new blog posts, and point people to valuable resources. Trafﬁc is sure to pick up during the 2010 ACUHO-I Annual Conference & Exposition in Austin, Texas, as attendees share tips for other conference goers as well as viewpoints from the sessions. The Association of College and University Housing Officers-International is a nonprofit organization that provides professional development experiences for its members by sponsoring programs, services, publications, and research. Association members on college and university campuses worldwide participate in conferences, workshops, committees, and networks.
